UP to 30 Irish couples who have problems getting pregnant are to participate in the first clinical study on how nutritional supplements can help fertility in both men and women.
The 90-day trial will see each couple taking the high-dose fertility supplement pre-Conceive daily and also follow a healthy lifestyle regime.
The supplement costs €170 for a 30-day supply.
Pillar Healthcare is working with fertility specialist ReproMed Ireland. According to Pillar, 12 Irish couples who have taken pre-Conceive in the past year have gone on to conceive.
It will be overseen by ReproMed director Declan Keane and his team. He said: “I strongly believe this clinically tailored, pre-conception formula is the most complete and comprehensive product of its type.”
